Converting old steading buildings into 30 holiday units on the east coast of Scotland, between two renowned golf courses.
The conversion of old steading buildings into 30 timeshare units, on a unique site on the east coast of Scotland set between two golf courses.
The brief was to rebuild and maintain the character of the existing derelict buildings and to continue the style seamlessly through the new additions. Because of the exposed site, the units are arranged to create natural wind barriers. Strategic breaks between the building groups keep the magnificent views of the surrounding coastline while retaining a level of privacy.
The units vary between apartments and houses, offering a range of options for different uses. The project aims to bring high-quality tourism to the area, where holidaymakers can enjoy the unique beauty of the landscape and golfers have high-end accommodation with immediate access to two mature and renowned golf courses.
